We are pleased to announce the first edition of the CISM Advanced Course on “Wind Engineering: Bridging Experimental, Field, and Numerical Techniques”, to be held on June 22–26, 2026, in Udine (Italy).
This interdisciplinary course offers an in-depth exploration of wind engineering, providing both fundamental knowledge and advanced insights into experimental methods, field measurements, and numerical techniques for the development of climate-resilient and sustainable civil infrastructure. Designed and delivered by leading experts in the field, the course combines theoretical principles with practical applications, enabling participants to address the key challenges faced by researchers and engineers when designing structures exposed to wind loads.
The program aims to equip attendees with essential tools, methodologies, and expertise for the analysis, design, and optimization of civil infrastructure, considering both synoptic and non-synoptic wind conditions.
The course is intended for doctoral students, researchers, and professionals in civil engineering, architecture, and environmental design, as well as anyone interested in advancing their understanding of wind engineering and its role in creating safer and more sustainable built environments.
The five-day course will be delivered by:

Candidatures should be submitted no later than June 30th 2026.

The new deadline is March 31, 2026.

IN-VENTO XVIII is the biennial International Conference of the Italian Association for Wind Engineering (ANIV) and will take place in Bari, Italy, from September 13 to 16, 2026. The conference is a major forum for the exchange of new ideas and discussion of recent developments in wind engineering, bluff-body aerodynamics, structural dynamics and reliability, wind modelling and forecasting, and wind energy.
